Barney Bubbles
John has written a really great piece on the very significant Barney Bubbles. I've nicked these images off him (hope you don't mind John) except for PXR5, which I found elsewhere, really like and presume was Bubbles.

Heh, be my guest, you started this when you dug out your copy of In Search of Space!
Sorry to shatter your illusions but it turns out that the PXR5 cover was by artist Philip Tonkyn:

Caused a stir at the time as the back cover picture (shown on that badge) was of a wrongly-wired plug. Copies of the album had to be sold with a huge sticker over the offending image emblazoned with the words "Do not remove!". So much for rock'n'roll...

re:- HAWKWIND PXR5 sleeve artwork .....
if you turn over the sleeve and read the back you will see that it says .....
Additional artwork preparation: Bob Wagner
thats me!
It really meant that the artwork was so badly airbrushed that I virtually had to redraw and redo it!
just for the record ......
