I've always had a good reaction to the Penguin Poets I've posted. If you're interested in seeing more I've put them all on Flickr now, which is quite timely because Gerry McFarlane has just pointed me toward this site dedicated to Stephen Russ. Thanks Gerry!
And I have to say I'm thrilled that the amazing Ray Fenwick has already visited them and left a comment. I'm not worthy.

That's some beautiful type in that example above. Do you happen to know what face it is?

Beth, I checked but it's not mentioned. However, funny thing, I'm reading the booklet from the Edward Wright Exhibition...

...and as I was reading it occured to me that the text is set in the same typeface as the one used on the Penguin. Walbaum in fact. So there you go.

I'm so glad you were able to find out what it was, I'm going to buy it from Linotype for a business card I'm doing. It's gorgeous!
