I've just received 1957, which has an advertising section called "The Penguin Look and 'Monotype' Faces." Lots of sample pages of Puffin, Pelican and Penguin books with notes on layout and type.

Richard, can you hurry up and put up another post please? That seriously dodgy cover is beginning to sink into my subconscious (and I don't want in emerging again in my next presentation, do I?)
