Found Type Friday #50

DSC_9527

Charlie Chambers has sent me these amazing images. To put them into context, he say, "I am currently making a short film about Maritime Pilots and so have been around lots of big ships. I have become interested by all the painted markings on the side of the boats..."

Chicken Watch #05: Wash and brush up

Day 20: It might look like Mr Fox has been a-calling but those ruffled feathers are actually the result of a vigourous dust bath. Pass the luffa.

Chicken Watch #04: An Egg Cometh!

Day 17: From arse to egg cup in just 2 hours*. Celebrations heard streets away.

We boiled, we dipped, we compared. And it was good, better.

Think it was Scott; much patting of feathered back. Well done.

Because I'm a designer and not a proper stamp collector I've arranged these by colour, and omitted one because I couldn't get all ten on my Moleskin Pocket Book sized cards.

Flaky

Unless you're a fellow Typepadster you may (hopefully) be oblivious to my troubles. But since the surprise update of my Compose Manager I've been having all sorts of problems. The worst being the loss of my Penguin Books category. Would fix it but there lies another problem...which I won't bore you with. If things aren't quite as they should be, bear with it. Things can only get better!

More Penguins than you can Shakespeare a stick at

I have the very kind David Atkinson to thank for bolstering my New Penguin Shakespeare collection significantly with this, not so little, lot. Now on Flickr.

Hope the goat arrived intact David (wink).

Day 14: Excellent perching technique. Well done girls.

Found Type Friday #49

Look, it's the return of Found Type Friday! And about time too!

Loic

A superb bit of signage (from Loïc).

Emiliano sent me a link to the wonderful Bibliodyssey, specifically Peacays collection of printed ornaments (he's got lots more on Flickr).

Alisa found these excellent specimens in an antique shop in Prescott, Arizona, going for a song. It's taken me two months to get them online! (I blame it on the chickens).

And Michael at Kat Ran Press, in Cambridge Massachusetts, very kindly sent me lots of stuff (ages ago - sorry Michael).

That was great. Just like old times.
Thanks very much to everyone for your contributions!

If anyone else would like to send me something then wait god knows how many months to see it again (can't blame you if you don't but I do promise to try harder) please send it to: foundtype@acejet170.com
