Reed on Writing

And_01

Ace copywriter Mike Reed has, oh so kindly, sent me his very lovely, 300million-designed, new mailer in which he eloquently and once and for all dispels the myth that it's bad to start a sentence with "And" or "But".

I, for one, will be forever in his debt; from now on shaking his little book at clients like some kind of born again evangalinguist. Scrutinize these pics for the wisdom within and go here to see just how clever the little fella is (the book I mean - I have no idea quite how large or small Mike is, although I do believe him to be clever).

Thank you very much for such generous coverage, Richard. I'm thrilled that you liked it so much. It does seem to be pushing the right buttons with a lot of people, which is at least as much down to 300million as to me.

I love 'evangalinguisit', too.
