How many shots can you take of one sign?! Moffett's is diagonally across from the only shop I know where you can still buy Midget Gems with the essential and original liquorice one.
By the way, the answer is "nine".
Just to show it's not just me (although we knew that anyway) occasional contributor Ian Fermor sent me these images of obscure but irresistable type. He explains, "This type was found on the end of some new railway sleepers at the Rheidol Valley Railway in Aberystwyth".
Special thanks go to Ian (and the lady in the sweet shop for stocking the liquorice ones).
All contributions received with much thankfullness via this thing.
absolutely lovely

Great photos as usual, but for once I've got to disagree with one of your comments, liquorice Midget Gems ruin a good bag of sweets!

They're the Marmite of the sweet world and I'm a lover.

Obscure but irresistible says it all - really nice. Reminds me of some Amazonian logs I'll have to dig out and send along.
