Bought this book from a car boot sale recently because I am currently an incomplete handyman. I can hang wallpaper and tile. I can fiddle about with our electrics without killing myself and (fingers crossed) am a dab-hand at removing radiators without flooding the house.
With the help of this fine book I will be able to construct a sectional bookcase, an inexpensive sideboard, a dog kennel and poultry house. I may not fully trust the section on electricity (I suspect it was quite new when this book was published) and I doubt the section on motor-car adjustment covers crypton tuning, but the art of laying crazy paving can't have changed much and an outdoor avery is an outdoor avery, right?
All in all, a fortuitous find (and a nicely hotstamped cover).
Oh, that is a pretty little book you have there.
In related embossing news, I just received in the mail a lovely little book from the Joseph Muller-Brockmann exhibit "48 Posters". It is small, but heart-achingly wunderbar.
