Reasons To Be Cheerful: The Life and work of Barney Bubbles
by Paul Gorman
"...the missing link between pop and culture" according to Peter Saville, Bubbles should need no introduction but if you do need one, buy the most exciting publication this year, according to me.
At last!! This must be the most overdue book of all time. The only thing I can remember being written about Barney Bubbles was an article in Eye back in 1992. His wit, lightness of touch and fluid mind spawned work that constantly surprised and delighted. And none of it done on a Mac! For me, he towered over better-known contempories like Malcolm Garrett and Neville Brody, but I wonder how many younger designers even know about him. Let’s hope this book changes that.

About bloody time! Just about everybody I know from that period has wanted to put something out about Barney - Garrett's been rambling on about him for almost forever. I've put my order in and can't wait. This news has made my day, Thanks.
