Karen emailed me last Thursday from home. She'd found Junkaholic's blog entry about their shed-based micro-studio and said, "I want one!". Don't blame her, it's brilliant and it got me all fired up: I want one too and we can do better! Well, actually that's unfair; when I say "better", I really mean "bigger". I mean "garage".
Our garage is a disaster. But not for much longer. On Saturday Operation: Garage-Studio Workspace started in ernest with a major clear out. Over the next few months, I'm going to turn our sad and sorry dumping zone into some kind of workspace for all of us to use. And I figured that if I talk about it here, I have to follow through. Or be known, in the blogosphere, as a big fat failure. It's not going to be quick and it's not going to be pretty. But right here, right now, I feel it's going to be splendid. And if I wasn't already raring to go, unearthing my dusty collection of metal type (including some rather magnificent 72pt Verona Bold) and my in-desperate-need-of-love-and-attention Adana has stoked the flames of enthusiasm.
Full steam ahead!
