Unknown Journeys:
When we moved into our house I discovered a box of photos in the loft. Mostly small discoloured prints about 6 x 4 cm in size. Rummaging through the pile it seemed clear to me that these were the rejects; the wonky, badly framed, poorly composed or over exposed photos that used to be the inevitable result of human error and film.
Photographs taken while on holiday around the 1940s and 50s, I'd guess; to where, I'm unequipped to imagine.
I contacted the previous owner of the house, who had moved to England, but she didn’t want them. So, it was with a clear conscience that I gave them new purpose.
